DMCA & Copyright Policy

Last Updated: April 30, 2026

Pin Video Downloader respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. This page outlines our policies regarding copyright infringement and the procedure for submitting a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedown notice.

We Do Not Host Content

Pin Video Downloader is a technical tool, not a content host or provider. We do not store, cache, or maintain any of the videos, images, GIFs, or audio files accessed through our Service. Our tool retrieves publicly available media directly from Pinterest’s servers and delivers them to the user’s device. No content is hosted on our servers at any point.

Because we do not host content, traditional “removal” requests do not apply in the conventional sense. However, we take copyright concerns seriously and will respond to legitimate notices.

Copyright Holder Responsibilities

If you are a copyright owner and believe that content accessed through our Service infringes your copyright, the appropriate course of action is generally to contact Pinterest directly (the platform hosting the content) at: https://help.pinterest.com/en/article/copyright

Once content is removed from Pinterest, our tool will no longer be able to access it.

Filing a DMCA Notice With Us

If you believe Pin Video Downloader is facilitating access to infringing content and you wish to notify us, please submit a written DMCA notice that includes ALL of the following:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (with proof of ownership where possible)
  2. Identification of the specific URL on Pinterest you believe links to infringing material
  3. Your contact information, including:
    • Full legal name
    • Mailing address
    • Telephone number
    • Email address
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner
  6. Your physical or electronic signature

Submit Your Notice To:

Email: [email protected] Subject Line: DMCA Takedown Notice Response Time: We aim to review and respond within 7 business days.

Counter-Notification

If you believe a notice was filed in error against content you have rights to, you may submit a counter-notification with:

  1. Identification of the material
  2. A statement under penalty of perjury that the material was identified by mistake
  3. Your contact information
  4. Consent to jurisdiction of the appropriate court
  5. Your signature

Send counter-notifications to [email protected].

Repeat Infringers

We will, in appropriate circumstances, block users who are repeat infringers from accessing our Service.

False Claims

Submitting a false DMCA notice is a violation of U.S. federal law (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)) and may result in liability for damages, including costs and attorney’s fees. Please file claims responsibly.

Pinterest’s Role

Because we are a technical tool that operates on publicly available URLs, the most effective way to remove content from circulation is to have it removed at the source — on Pinterest itself. We encourage rights holders to use Pinterest’s Copyright Help Center for the most efficient resolution.
